The winery, founded in 1898, is one of the most important in the region. The Winery plantation consists of 1.100 has. of own vineyards. The soils are of aluvional origin, scarcely deep and of great drainage, lime sandy in surface and stony unstable in depth. The annual precipitations is scarce, aprox. 250mm a year. The irrigation water, comes from the defrosting of the Andes Mountain Range. All of these conditions, location, climate and soil makes possible to have grapes of exceptional quality for the elaboration.
You can find López wine under several labels: López Montchenot, Château Vieux, Vasco Viejo,Rincon Famoso, Casona Lopez… red wines, white wines and champagne.
